ABOUT ME

My life began at RS William Booth, Surabaya on October 9th 1973, with a javanese father, Achmad Siswono, who was working for Lapas Kalisosok (Correction Department) and a balinese mother, Ni Ketut Miani.

Emerged from the birth canal and the shout rang out, i was the only boy at the room and the only boy at the family. Not a long time after my birth, my parents took me along to Bubunan, Seririt, Bali to live with our big balinese family.

July 14th 1976, 14.20 WITA, Bali shocked by an earthquake. My village was demolished, i myself injured with broken nose, my elder sister, Ni Luh Sayu Kembar Wulan (Sayu) also injured on her legs. Everything damage, no hospital, no electricity, everyone panics, then my father picked up us to Surabaya to live with him and to get proper health care.

In 1980, we went back to Bali, this time my younger sister on her 4th, Galuh Dyah Sonata Wulan (Sony), came along with us. And that year I started my elementary education at SD Inpres V Bubunan, Seririt, Singaraja. In 1981, we moved to Munduk, a quiet mountain village, located between 500 to 1200 meters above sea level and with average temperatures of 20 to 30°C.  Munduk is a very beautiful place, surrounded by tropical rainforest, rice terraces and farms producing traditional commodities such as coffeee, cocoa, clove and vanilla as well as herbs for treatment.
